Rodenbach Vintage is the unique result of selection by our Rodenbach brew masters, the barrel after two years of maturation has produced the best beer, “the best barrel of the year”. The label is always the number of barrel stated and the year which marks the beginning of maturation.

Rodenbach Vintage is 100% matured old beer, resulting in superior Rodenbach Grand Cru. Its taste is complex, round, intense and refreshing. Typically, the apple tart fruitiness combined with caramel, wild honey and oak with a hint of vanilla, cherry and licorice. Its aroma has hints of caramel and oak, as well as notes of green apples mixed with honey and chocolate. The soft sour, fruity aftertaste is long and nicely balanced like a grand cru wine

O que pensou o nosso painel

Aroma: ácido de intensidade média-alta com notas a vinho tinto, ginjas, madeira, baunilha, toques a laranja e um subtil segundo plano a malte adocicado.

Aparência: cor âmbar ligeiramente escuro com reflexos vermelhos. Limpa mas com material em suspensão. Espuma média-baixa com retenção baixa.

Sabor: similar ao aroma com um carácter médio a vinho tinto ácido (mas não acético), madeira, baunilha, ligeiras cerejas e laranjas. Baixo amargor de lúpulo. Acidez suave e ligeiramente taninica. Equilibrada e suave.

Palato: corpo médio-baixo com carbontação média-baixa. Sem adstringência. Suave.

Geral: uma Flanders Red Ale envelhecida em casco, que se apresenta suave e com uma complexidade equilibrada. Definitivamente recomendada.
